Terms & Conditions

  • Your use of Swastee’s service indicates your agreement to be bound by the "terms and conditions" contained herein.

  • 1. Swastee is an eco laundromat. We rent out our washing and drying machines to our customers. Swastee accepts no liability for special care items that should require special attention, including "dry clean only”, ”hand wash only”, and ”do not use heat" items.

  • 2. The customer is responsible for the items put in the machines. Hence, the customer will be responsible for any laundry damage caused by the laundering process (including damage due to shrinkage, fading, or tears).

  • 3. For drop-off service;

    • 3.1 Swastee has no obligation to do the spotting process including checking stains and/or laundry labels of each item. We help the customer to do the normal laundry process in the machine.

    • 3.2 Swastee’s staff is happy to assist, to the best of our knowledge and capability, but the customer is responsible for sorting out the items that are eligible for washing and drying in the machines.

    • 3.3 The customer may instruct the staff to do certain treatments on certain items, yet Swastee holds no responsibility for your laundry items' color transferring, shrinking, fading, or otherwise becoming altered or worn out by the instructed wash and dry process, even if it is deviating from the laundry labels.

  • 4. Swastee reserves the right to refuse to clean any item. If the customer insists, we hold no responsibility for the outcome.

  • 5. Swastee does not guarantee the removal of all stains or non-cleanable clothes.

  • 6. Swastee is not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal items left in the clothing or laundry bags such as money, jewelry, or any other item. There will always be the possibility of zipper issues when following normal cleaning procedures, and Swastee does not accept any liability for such issues.

  • 7. Any lost items must be reported within 2 days. Swastee makes its best reasonable effort to track every item that we process and will review all lost item claims on a case-by-case basis.

  • 8. In the rare instance that your items are lost or damaged by Swastee because the staff failed to follow the instructions;

    • 8.1 Swastee will do a thorough investigation of the case within a week timeframe.

    • 8.2 Based on the investigation result, Swastee may issue you a refund and/or credit for the value of that item after taking into account the average life of the item, depreciation for the age of the item, and the current replacement costs.

    • 8.3 If the customer is unable to document the age of an item, the customer can attest to the age but Swastee, in its sole discretion, may limit the minimum age of any item to one year.

    • 8.4 If no current replacement price is available [e.g. because the item is no longer available in stores], Swastee may use the replacement cost of a comparable item currently available.

    • 8.5 Not withstanding the foregoing, the maximum reimbursement for each individual item is an amount equivalent to 2 times the amount charged for cleaning.

  • 9. Swastee shall not be liable for any damage to the laundry caused by moths, or other insects or any loss, damage, or delay due to fire, flood, Act of God, civil war, commotion, or to any cause beyond the control of Swastee.

  • 10. Swastee is not responsible for any laundry that is not claimed within 7 days.
